NC teachers hoping method helps students learn cursive writing

APEX, N.C. (WNCN) — With computers, pills, and cell phones, you no longer need to grab a pen and paper and compose your records the old fashioned way, but teachers in North Carolina think handwriting is important, specifically cursive.

Some instructors say it’s a-game changer.

“They believed faster, they blogged faster, they penned more,” said Holly Potter, a K-5 Intervention instructor in Burlington. “They performedn’t grumble when it ended up being time for you compose or take records.”

Some instructors CBS vermont spoke with in addition stated that cursive could be the approach to take for most students with disabilities as it assists develop good engine skills.
